What Is The Lincoln County Process: With Lexie Amacher-Phillips from Jack Daniels?
Bourbon: Real Talk is a podcast where the host Randall Sullivan sits down with a guest over a drink and listens to their story. The purpose of the show is to used whiskey's connective nature to bring people together who might not have otherwise formed a relationship. We are building cultural bridges one drink at a time.
The lincoln county process (LCP) is a charcoal filter process
used in making Tennessee Whiskey. In this episode we sit down with
Lexie Phillips the assistant distiller with Jack Daniel's. Jack
Daniel's is largely responsible for popularising the practice
along with the idea that LCP turns bourbon into TN Whiskey. In this
episode we discuss is Jack bourbon, what the LCP is, what the
process is doing to the whiskey, and I cry a little at the end.
Enjoy!
